Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Teacher Teacher (the “App”), made by Mortar Bit, LLC (“we”, “us”). Teacher Teacher is designed for children, so these terms are an agreement with the parent or legal guardian who downloads the App or lets a child use it. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms on your own behalf and on behalf of your child.

1. For families

Teacher Teacher is an educational game for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. A parent or guardian should set up the App, choose the right grade, and review the parent settings, which are protected by a parent gate.

2. Your license to use the App

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your family's non-commercial use. Apple's Standard License Agreement for Licensed Applications also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, these terms control where the law allows.

3. Things you agree not to do

  • Copy, sell, rent or redistribute the App or its content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where the law expressly allows it.
  • Use the App in a way that breaks the law or harms others.

4. Our content

The App, including its characters, art, music, sounds, questions, stories and code, belongs to Mortar Bit, LLC and is protected by copyright and other laws. “Teacher Teacher” and our logos are our trademarks.

5. Educational content

We work hard to make questions and lessons accurate and age-appropriate. Still, Teacher Teacher is a learning game, not a replacement for school, teachers or professional advice. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we'll fix it.

6. Beta testing

If you test a pre-release version through Apple's TestFlight, it may contain bugs, change often, or reset progress. Feedback you send helps us improve the App, and you agree we may use it without any obligation to you.

7. Privacy

Teacher Teacher collects no personal information. There are no ads, no tracking and no accounts. Please read our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Purchases

The App currently has no in-app purchases. All rewards are earned by playing. If we ever offer purchases, they will sit behind the parent gate and be governed by Apple's terms and any additional terms we show at that time.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the App or any feature at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the App.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mortar Bit, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it, if anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Ending these terms

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may end your license if these terms are broken. Sections 4, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply after that.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Mortar Bit, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection laws say otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated terms.
