FUQRPrivacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
FUQR is a QR code safety app made by Mortar Bit, LLC (“we”). We built it to check links, not people. This policy explains what that means.
No accounts
FUQR has no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number in the app.
The camera
FUQR uses your camera only to read QR codes while the scanner is open. Camera images are processed on your phone and are never uploaded.
What we check
When a scanned code contains a link, FUQR sends that link to our server so it can be checked for phishing, scams and harmful content, and so we can take a screenshot of the page for you to preview. When a code contains other text, that text may be sent for the same safety check. We send only the contents of the code. We do not send your location, your scan history or anything that identifies you.
Like any website, our server receives the standard technical details of each request, such as your IP address, in order to send the result back. We use checked links and their results to run and improve the service and to detect dangerous sites. We don't build profiles and we don't sell this data.
What stays on your phone
Your scan history, including what each code contained and when you scanned it, is stored only on your device. If you allow location access, the location where you scanned each code is saved with that scan, on your device only. You can use FUQR without allowing location.
To delete a scan, swipe it away in your scan history. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Subscriptions
FUQR Pro is purchased through Apple. We use RevenueCat, a subscription service, to confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt from Apple. We never see your payment details.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits an error, a diagnostic report (such as the error, your device model and operating system version) is sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring service, so we can fix the problem. These reports aren't used to identify you or for advertising.
Opening websites
Your phone visits a website only if you choose Go to Website. That site's own privacy policy then applies.
No ads, no tracking
FUQR has no advertising, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
Children
FUQR is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
