Terms of Use

Effective September 28, 2026

These terms apply to FUQR (the “App”), made by Mortar Bit, LLC (“we”). By using the App you agree to them. They add to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.

1. What FUQR does, and doesn't do

FUQR gives you an automated opinion about whether a QR code's contents look safe. It is a helpful second check, not a guarantee. Results can be wrong, and websites can change after they're checked. Always use your own judgment, especially before entering passwords or payment details. You are responsible for what you choose to open.

2. Your license to use the App

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

3. FUQR Pro subscriptions

FUQR Pro is offered as weekly, monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

4. Things you agree not to do

Don't use the App or our servers to attack, probe or overload websites; to test or refine phishing or malicious content; to scrape or resell results; or to reverse-engineer the App except where the law allows.

5. Our content

The App's design, code, name and logo belong to Mortar Bit, LLC.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what the App does and doesn't collect.

7. Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the App or any feature at any time. Safety checks need an internet connection.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will detect every harmful code or website.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mortar Bit, LLC will not be liable for any loss arising from a website, code or content you open or act on, whether or not the App flagged it, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription. We may end your license if you break these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Mortar Bit, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection laws say otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated terms.
