Privacy Policy

Effective September 28, 2026

TheReelGym is a workout app made by Mortar Bit, LLC (“we”). We built it to know as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what that means.

No accounts

TheReelGym has no sign-up, no login and no social features. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number in the app.

What stays on your phone

Your workout history, sets and weights, personal records, streaks, badges, preferences (such as your muscle group, equipment and pounds or kilograms) and saved workouts are stored only on your device. They are included in your device's own backup (iCloud on iPhone), which is controlled by you and Apple. We can't see this information.

To delete it, open Profile and choose Clear Workout History, or delete the app.

What our server sees

The app downloads its workout list and exercise videos from our server at thereelgym.com. Like any website, the server receives the standard technical details of each request, such as your IP address and device type, in order to send the content back.

We use these requests to keep simple, anonymous counts: how many times the app is opened, roughly how many devices use it each day, and how often exercises are started. To estimate devices, we combine the IP address and device type with a random value that changes every day and keep only a short scrambled code, so the counts can't be tied to you or followed from one day to the next. We do not store IP addresses in these counts, and we don't build profiles or sell or share this data.

Notifications and the lock screen

Streak reminders and the “rest's over” alert are scheduled on your phone. The workout shown on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island (a Live Activity) is run by your phone. None of this is sent through our server.

Sharing

The workout card is created on your phone. It's only shared if you choose to share it, using your phone's share sheet.

Links to creators

Workouts link to the creator's original post. Opening one takes you to that site (such as X), whose own privacy policy applies.

No ads, no tracking

TheReelGym has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

Children

TheReelGym is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
